Kanapaha Botanical Gardens

This is a 62-acre facility located on Lake Kanapaha. It is comprised of 14 major collections, visible from a one-and-a-half-mile paved walkway. This includes the state’s largest public display of bamboos and the largest herb garden in the Southeast.

Morningside Nature Center Living History Farm

This is a 10-acre re-creation of a single-family rural holding in 1870. The farm includes an 1840s cabin, a 1900s board and batten kitchen, an 1880s twin-crib barn, the Half-Moon one-room school house, an heirloom garden, field crop areas and live farm animals.

Santa Fe Community College Teaching Zoo

This is the premier wild animal technology program in the United States. The 10-acre zoo is a functioning zoo with a diverse collection of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. The zoo welcomes more than 30,000 visitors each year and provides daily tours.
